Kitchen remodel for townhouse living.
Peter and Rachel were approached by their clients to revamp the kitchen and laundry space in their townhouse.
The vision for the area was to replace all the tall units that were blocking so much of the light into the dining area and relocate the laundry to an underutilised space under the stairs.
Freeing up all-important storage space in the kitchen allowing for a pantry and fridge to be placed flush into this newly created area, leaving the space for a large island and sink bench.
Before - the kitchen space was dark and crowded with natural light being absorbed by the tall cabinetry and dark colours.
Crisp & Clean.
To create the light and open space the clients were looking for, crisp, clean, prime white MREO 18mm doors and panels were used to reflect the natural light from the windows.
These were beautifully complemented by the use of Ranfurly Oak 30mm open display shelves which give a wonderful feature to the kitchen and tie in perfectly with the laminate flooring.
Carrara Botanica granite benchtops were chosen with their thick quartz grain throughout which complemented the carcasses of the cabinets which were also black.
The contrast with the white kitchen cabinet exterior leaves a clean, crisp look that is further enhanced by the black features of handles, tap, lights and stools, creating an effortless and elegant aesthetic.
The final touch is the ‘mint’ splashback with subtle green hues that tie in with the greenery from the garden outside.
Peter and Rachael had a vision of what could be created and the products that would work in the space. By using Blum HK flap doors they were able to showcase the seamless look over the cupboards so that the open display boxes stood out as a feature whilst utilising all space available.
