Camper Fit Out
At the beginning of the year, newly-qualified carpenter Manuel Klee left Germany in search of travel and adventure — and his starting point was Cutshop® Mt Wellington!
Manuel wanted to develop experience and skills on the CNC machine, so he secured ten months work with Simon Morton and the team to help earn the money to fund his travel plans.
In his spare time while working at Cutshop®, Manuel decided to convert a Nissan Serena (seven seater) into a custom-built campervan alternative that he could take travelling around New Zealand.
Work on the converted station wagon is almost finished and Manuel has already put it through its paces on several weekend trips around the North Island.
Manuel plans to put his converted Nissan to the test at the end of December, when he’s heading out on his big tiki tour of North and South Islands with a friend.
His next stop takes him over the other side of the ditch to Perth, WA and he’ll be hitting the wide open roads of Australia throughout 2020.
