Award-winning architect’s partner of choice

Award-winning architect Felicity Brenchley works with a range of clients within the Auckland region specialising in residential renovations and new builds.

She established her firm Felicity Brenchley Architects in 2013 and has a strong focus on interior design with her projects. Her own home and kitchen recently featured on TVNZ Grand Designs, with Cutshop® premiering as partner of choice.

Cutshop® is certainly, from my perspective, quite a unique service within the marketplace and I have no hesitation in recommending them to my clients because of this.

I really understand the benefits of utilising Cutshop® cutting services having worked with them on three of my own kitchens, as well as a number of other design and bespoke projects for my clients.

The success of Cutshop® as a custom DIY cutting service has come from their ingenuity to meet a part of the market which presents genuine solutions for clients.

Cutshop® provides a unique opportunity for designers and architects like myself, and my clients who want to DIY.

Honestly, to be provided with precision cut panels which can easily be fitted - it offers any DIY person the confidence to assemble themselves.

I’m often recommending Cutshop® to my clients in particular when there’s a tight budget with the project and we’re looking for a particular outcome for their interior, I naturally also give a lot of information about the work that’s involved but for many people this service is still a very attractive option for them.

Once we discovered Cutshop® it was the easy to see what future possibilities lay ahead.

Felicity and husband Callum first came across Cutshop® 11 years ago when looking to build their own kitchen with an affordable price tag, and thanks to Google this search resulted in finding an option that was at that time absent in the market.

Cutshop® were really great with that first project in terms of their genuine support and taking time to show me how the system worked.

At the design stage there was excellent communication to make sure that everything met my detailing - this really resounded with me because I could see from the comprehensive drawings I received back from them - exactly how everything was going to fit together.

I really loved that I could control the finer details.

Cutshop® provide an opportunity for my clients to achieve an outcome that they wouldn't otherwise be able to afford.

The collaboration with Cutshop® has enabled Felicity Brenchley Architects the ability to exceed expectations beyond the ‘norm’ of what designers may usually be able to provide their clients.

In working with Cutshop® I’m able to provide cost savings to my clients and this happens through the fact that clients do need to invest their own time in putting the cabinets together.

This however results in being able to provide an option for people who want to use more sustainable materials and higher quality hardware - but can’t really afford a kitchen built to that standard through another method.

Clients are paying for a quality service in terms of the design so the saving really is in the fact that they can do it themselves, this enables me to help those people achieve this quality of kitchen design in a price bracket they can afford for their own home.

Further, by saving money on the cutting service we’re able to improve the quality of all the other aspects of the kitchen within a reasonable price so my clients are very, very happy with the end result.

Cutshop® are agile, continually adapting their processes to better meet the needs of their client.

I really like working with Cutshop® and Karl, there’s a good relationship there because we understand each other and what we’re trying to achieve through the design, so this really streamlines the process and gives me the confidence that I know we’re going to end up with the outcome that we’re looking for.

This of course results in happy clients and a successful finished product.
