Competitive Edge for DCR Cabinets

Dan Roigard of DCR Cabinets tells us how his business has the capability to achieve bigger and bolder dreams to transform clients’ ideas to reality with the help of Cutshop®.

A small Auckland-based team specialising in kitchen cabinetry and upgrades, owner/operator Dan Roigard highlights that in the current challenging economic climate, every business no matter its size is looking for the best possible strategy to achieve output and satisfy customer needs. DCR Cabinets are able to leverage off the unique Cutshop® business model which enables them to operate competitively in the marketplace.

Working with Cutshop® has meant I’ve been able to expand my business far beyond what we could do otherwise to achieve incredible results for our customers. Operating as a smaller business can bring with it some restrictions as to what we can do - however in using this fantastic cutting service with top-of-the line machinery doing the work for us - we are able to say yes – more, which is absolutely brilliant and a testament to how smart it is for us working with Cutshop®
— Dan Roigard

Dan says working with  Cutshop® is simple, reliable, and flexible - enabling DCR Cabinets to maximise their own efficiencies.

Cutshop® supply a really easy to use service. We find out what our clients want and the design materials, we email that on to Cutshop® and they start the process from there. If they have any questions they call direct or e-mail so we can resolve them very quickly. Once they’ve had a look and we’ve confirmed everything they then process the job. Communication is really great too - which allows us to streamline our planning. They give us dates when materials are getting cut which means I can organise my other contractors - flooring, plumbing and electrical around that time. As there’s quite a bit of organising those accurate dates really simplify our work.
— Dan Roigard

With his many years of working with Cutshop®, he consistently praises Dave’s team which is known for their adaptability and willingness to accommodate last-minute changes. Recently, they demonstrated this flexibility when a client made a sudden change to a project. The team quickly adjusted to the new requirements, avoiding material waste and ensuring the project was completed on time. This level of responsiveness sets them apart from other contractors in the area.

Cutshop® cut, edge, drill and deliver, using a range of materials from plywood and acrylics to MDF and ACM - into whatever shape is required and with seamless edging. DCR Cabinets know they can enjoy peace of mind with the end-product when the job is done.

Cutshop® have the highest quality machines in their factory such as their CNC machines, and they use all the best materials available to us in New Zealand, as well as the best hardware - they supply the best brands, anything you want. We’re also doing a lot of outdoor kitchens and projects that require more heavy-duty material, Cutshop® supply this for us as well so they really cover everything that we need.
— Dan Roigard

Dan says Cutshop® exceeds all expectations for us as a service and often results in repeat business. When clients contact him after the job’s done to say the work has literally transformed their lives – it’s just the best feedback they can ever get, and it also results in ongoing business and referrals.

The service was great, and so friendly. The job was well priced, production was on time and they supplied the materials and hardware - everything went so smoothly. Working with Cutshop® suited my business so well for that first job so we continued using them - that was about six years ago and we haven’t looked back since, it was easily one of the best decisions we made for the business
